THE

FESTIVAL

A FANTASTIC DAY OUT FOR ALL
- PLUS A FAB FUNDRAISER FOR
THE STRODE PARK FOUNDATION

The Kent Tribute Festival returns to the stunning grounds of Strode Park Herne Bay on Sunday 25th August 2024.

Having raised over £60,000 over the past four years for the Foundtation, we're delighted to be able to bring this event back to this stunning, tree-lined venue just on the outstkirts of Herne Bay.

Just over a mile away from Herne Bay train station, and with good public transport links, leave the car at home and enjoy this 5-Star rated event.

PARKING & PUBLIC TRANSPORT

We are strongly recommending the use of public transport to attend this event, as there is no parking at the venue (even for disabled badge holders) If bringing your car and parking in Herne please note there is on-street parking nearby however this is fairly limited. Traffic enforcement officers also partrol this area therefore please park responsibly.

There are Stagecoach Bus stops just a 1 minute walk away on Canterbury Road (Stagecoach Buses also have disabled access) Return Stagecoach tickets from Whitstable or Canterbury, which take a little over half an hour, cost between £6-7.

If travelling by train the venue is just over a mile from Herne Bay Train Station. When exiting the station just before the Heron Pub there is a walkway underneath the station you should use. On exiting the walkway turn left until you get to Homebase, then cross the road using the crossing. Contunue left until you come to the roundabout and then turn right on to Canterbury Road. The venue is around 400m from the roundabout.

There are also several local licensed taxi firms that will drop you at the venue in just a few minutes and if sharing with others (some of the following have 8-seaters) a very cost effective way to get to and from the venue. But do book early as you may struggle to get a service by leaving it too late.

ACTIVITIES AT THE FESTIVAL

The Kent Tribute Festival is suitable for people of all ages, and we recognise that this event is taking place within the summer holidays and people may also want to bring children. To this end we have included inflatable bouncy castles, lizards and reptile displays and some beautiful birds of prey from Whiteleaf Animals Farm.  Face painting will also be on offer, however a small charge applies in this respect. It is important that children are supervised and not left unattended at any time. L

There will be licensed bars serving refreshments and beverages including lager, cider, ale, spirits, sparkling wine (including prosecco) and a number of approved, 5-star rated tasty hot food stalls. Important: NO drinks can be brought on to the premises however a small quantity of snacks/sandwiches will be permitted as we appreciate the length of the event and potential expenditure for those attending. A bag check policy will be in force on arrival - please have any bags ready for inspection.

Please drink responsibly, this event is taking place within the grounds of a Charity that caters for people with a range of disabilities and any anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, and our licensed security team will remove any persons displaying anti-social behaviour.

KEEP THE GROUNDS GREEN & CLEAN

Please use bins provided throughout the grounds during the event, in order that we the venue can be left in the perfect condition you will find it in.
