TIME TO HELP ANOTHER GROUP
IN HERNE BAY -
HERNE BAY JUNIOR SCHOOL!
It's been great fun helping the Strode Park Foundation raise over £25,000 over the past 3 years by staging our event in their grounds, but for 2020 we're turning our attention to the kids!
We're moving the festival for 2020 to the spacious playing fields of Herne Bay Junior School (CT6 5DA) which is not only more centrally located in Herne Bay, but has better nearby parking provisions (William Street Car Park) and is just a 10 minute walk from Herne Bay Railway station. There are also bus stops just a 2 minute walk away!
PARKING & PUBLIC TRANSPORT
We are strongly recommending the use of public transport to attend this event, as there is no parking at the venue (even for disabled badge holders) If bringing your car and parking in Herne Bay please use William Street Car Park and if not, remember to park responsibly nearby as council parking enforcement officers will be on duty. William Street Car Park costs £1.10per hour however there is no charge after 6pm.
There are Stagecoach Bus stops just a 2 minute walk away on Canterbury Road (Stagecoach Buses also have disabled access) Return Stagecoach tickets from Whitstable or Canterbury, which take a little over half an hour, cost between £6-7.
If travelling by train the venue is just over half a mile from Herne Bay Train Station. When exiting the station walk past the Heron Pub and cross Spenser Road. Walk through the Memorial Park following the path past the pond and straight ahead on Park Road until you reach Kings Road. The entrance to the venue is opposite South Road, approx 200m ahead.
There are also several local licensed taxi firms that will drop you at the venue in just a few minutes and if sharing with others (some of the following have 8-seaters) a very cost effective way to get to and from the venue. But do book early as you may struggle to get a service by leaving it too late.

ACTIVITIES AT THE FESTIVAL
The Kent Tribute Festival is suitable for people of all ages, and we recognise that this event is taking place within the summer holidays and people may also want to bring children. To this end we have included inflatable bouncy castles, lizards and reptile displays from Penfold's Reptiles and some beautiful birds of prey from Southeast Falconry, all of which is included in the £10 child ticket price* Face painting will also be on offer, however a small charge applies in this respect. It is important that children are supervised and not left unattended at any time. Look out for our special children's wristbands on arrival on which your mobile number can be written should you become separated. Look out also for the lost children and information flags and familiarise yourself and your child with them on arrival.
There will be licensed bars serving refreshments and beverages including lager, cider, ale, spirits, sparkling wine (including prosecco) and a number of approved, 5-star rated tasty hot food stalls (Thai, Hog Roast, BBQ, Venezuelan, Jackets and salads, Fisn n Chips) to keep bellies full. Important: NO drinks can be brought on to the premises however a small quantity of snacks/sandwiches will be permitted as we appreciate the length of the event and potential expenditure for those attending. A bag check policy will be in force on arrival - please have any bags ready for inspection.
